Quick update

I've been asked to post a quick blog update on behalf of the Kenya team. Their Internet connection has been down for the past few days so they have been unable to update the blog. But the team wanted everyone to know that the team is safe and doing well.

  1. Hi Team:
    Today we will be visiting the Nashua Rescue Mission and seeking to bless those who gather together with us. We shall seek to share God’s Word – have dinner together and praise God for His forgiveness and love – what a merciful God we have! As we visit we seek to be a blessing we always leave having been blessed. That’s the way it is when we serve our mighty God regardless of location it will be your experience today I know.
    I love psalm 46 – especially the first verse – “God is our refuge and strength an ever present help in trouble.” There are times when we need a safe place from the storms of life, when our weakness is very obvious and we are in serious need of help!
    What a blessing it is to have a personal relationship with a God who provides such shelter and help for his children. The thing that I love most in this verse is that our God is an ‘ever-present’ help in trouble. He does not operate from afar but personally joins us on location in our need. God is with us! He is our refuge! He is our strength in our trouble! Rejoice in Him today – rejoice in Him. Trust in Him.
    Today we remember each of you in our prayers and send our love.

    Psalm 46 (NIV)
    1 God is our refuge and strength,
    an ever-present help in trouble.
    2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
    and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
    3 though its waters roar and foam
    and the mountains quake with their surging.
    Selah
    4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
    the holy place where the Most High dwells.
    5 God is within her, she will not fall;
    God will help her at break of day.
    6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
    he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
    7 The LORD Almighty is with us;
    the God of Jacob is our fortress.
    Selah
    8 Come and see the works of the LORD,
    the desolations he has brought on the earth.
    9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth;
    he breaks the bow and shatters the spear,
    he burns the shields with fire.
    10 "Be still, and know that I am God;
    I will be exalted among the nations,
    I will be exalted in the earth."
    11 The LORD Almighty is with us;
    the God of Jacob is our fortress.
    Selah
